Thank you, the family of Michael Heiser!
Honington, Suffolk, in 1992 I used to live next door to, and socialize with Pat Fennig. We were two UK airmen, Pat and John (Kikta) were our neighbors and friends. Well we had a great time, we used spend most nights together drinking and watch 'stuff'. In fact, I like to think we introduced Pat and John to the UK Pub scene! However, they returned to the USA and I moved on and we lost touch. Well, I was at Dhahran in 1996 when the Bomb went off. I couldn't believe it when I found out Pat was out there and had perished, I didn't even see
him. To this day I think about it, thus this message. I will never forget the good times we had and the fact that we were yards apart and didn't know. Some things just don't make sense, to me this is one. Kind regards, Steven Thompson (RAF)

Dear Fran & Gary,
My deepest sympathy for the loss of your son Michael on June 25, 1996. Many unbelievable terrible incidents are occurring in the world and we are simply speechless and do not know how to cope with it. God bless his soul and the other heroes who died with him.

I only remember Mike as such a young boy. It was different to see him so grown up. I'm not surprised at the type of person he became as he had such fine examples in his parents and family. Not ever having children, it is difficult to imagine your sense of loss- probably more a sense of frustration at the senselessness of what happened. I don't even pretend to understand a faith in a "god" that would encourage people to destroy others, and call it 'good'. My prayers are with you. Love- Jane
